Which one is the best eye care hospital in Hyderabad?

My father is a 67 years old and suffering with some eye problems for last 10 days. He ia also a diabetic patient. We want to take him to the best experienced doctor in Hyderabad city. But we have very less information about the best hospitals and eye specialists in the city.

So I request you to kindly suggest me to the right doctor. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Am I at risk of diabetes?

I am a teenager, 5’8″, and 130 pounds. Usually I am athletic, but starting yesterday I felt a little less energetic than I usually am. I was also extremely thirsty, and had to go to the bathroom a lot because I drank a lot of water. However, I managed to sleep for 9 hours yesterday without needing to urinate during the middle of the night. And even though I feel pretty tired right now, I can still probably run a mile without stopping. I have not lost or gained any weight either.

Do you think I have diabetes, or am I just being paranoid?
Oops…I made a typo on my weight. I am 120 pounds, not 130.

Does this sound like gestational diabetes?

I am due on Nov. 16 2010 and I have noticed some weird changes. First of all I have an extreme thirst that cannot be quenched. I typically hate drinking water but I find myself gulping down lots of water and never being satisfied. I also am going to the bathroom a lot. I though that I was urinating a lot bc I was getting little bigger and it was causing pressure on my bladder but have noticed as soon as I drink something I have to rush to the bathroom to pee.

The last thing I have noticed is that I have an overproduction of saliva. I hate to be gross but it is very thick and foamy and I find myself having to spit a great deal now. I don’t know why it would be foamy as I keep myself hydrated bc of this extreme thirst I have. Does any of this sound like gestational diabetes. I dont think I am dehydrated as I have not been vomiting a great deal. In fact the doctor has me on 4mg of Zofran bc in the 1st trimester I had bad vomiting spells. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

By the way I am 22 years old and ፈlbs.

Gestational diabetes – possible false positive?

Could the lab be misreading or misinterpreting my results?

Preg #1, no GD – female baby, under 9 lbs (8 lbs 12 oz).
Preg #2, GD – male baby, under 8 lbs (7 lbs 6 oz).
Preg #3, no GD – female baby, under 8 lbs (7 lbs 13 oz).
Preg #4, GD – male baby, currently at 24 weeks gestation.

Okay, so two girls, no GD; and two boys, positive for GD. The only things in common with them are 1) both are boys and 2) both were diagnosed in our current hometown in NC (the girls were both born in IL). Is it possible that the lab down here is messing up with the readings on my GTT? Why would I test positive ONLY when preg with boys and ONLY in NC? Wouldn’t I have shown some indication of GD with baby #3?

With baby #2, I was put immediately onto insulin; and the diet I was given was more of a guideline to follow, other than that they left me to my own devices with it. Now with this one, #4, they want to manage with diet; and OMG this diet is just NUTS. Instead of a large breakfast and smaller dinner, it is the exact opposite. Not to mention it seems like I’m eating CONSTANTLY throughout the day – and to prove that, in the span of three days I have gained a whopping FOUR POUNDS. That is SO not cool, or safe for that matter – I have a call in to the nurse at the diabetes center about it, no call back yet.

I’m wondering, if I pay out of pocket, would I be able to go back up to Chicago and have them test me for GD, just to compare the two test results (theirs and the one here)? I feel worse after starting a program for GD than I do before starting it – both with baby #2 and this one.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
Well we’re talking actual blood tests, not finger stick tests. The GTT is when a pregnant woman has to drink glucola solution then have her blood drawn an hour later. I’m just curious as to why I can test so differently in two different states, with two different genders of child. It doesn’t seem right.
I forgot to add, I am on a ridiculously restricted diet, which is way off balance from how I’m used to eating (small breakfast, big dinner, which is opposite what I usually do since breakfast IS the most important meal of the day). They prefer to avoid insulin if possible – and no, it is not 1Ǡ% necessary with GD, since GD is more similar to Type II diabetes than Type I (and Type II can be managed without insulin).

I am pretty sure I have diabetes, what if I don’t go to a doctor?

Okay as the title says I am like 99 percent sure I have type 1 diabetes. I didn’t start noticing a change until I was in the 7th grade and then I realized I think I had started showing the signs of diabetes when I was in the 5th grade. And this year, now that I am in 10th grade I started researching and going to different websites and forums to see if my symptoms compared and they did. I have constant urination but at first a couple years ago I had diarrhea everyday and like every couple hours it was a pain and I thought there was really something wrong with me, I also had dark yellow pee. In the fifth grade I had slightly noticed I would loose weight and I thought this was so because of puberty or something ( I was never fat as i child but i wasn’t the thinnest girl around either); but then later throughout middle school I literally lost weight EVERYDAY and i still do, i can buy tight pants for school, and they will be the tightest pants on me, where my rolls stick out and everything, but I know a few weeks later or maybe months and even in a year they will fit me perfectly because I loose weight everyday! Sometimes I like this but other times I don’t, I have lost the little muscle I had, but my arms get skinnier and skinnier ( I am practically in my book considered thin and I don’t think I have ever viewed my self as this), which I like (how do I know I lose weight aside from putting on tight jeans? Well even my boobs get smaller which is all right for me considering they are kind of big or medium sized, and the space between my thighs is practically existent) But this also sucks because i am constantly hungry even when i eat a lot, even if i eat out and finish my meals, i am full at first but then my stomach turns hollow and it basically all comes out through my basement; I urinate a lot my most of it is water and not pee, it is because i drink a lot of water, but I drink a lot of water when i don’t like my food and just constantly drink water, but when i go out to eat the waitress has to come by like four times or more to refill my water; i poop everyday which I don’t think is normal, and i have abdominal pains once in a while and they hurt like hell i feel like punching my stomach or ovaries whatever is causing me this pain the only way i can describe it, is chronic; I also get lower back pain and they hurt bad like i guess where my kidneys are, they hurt like hell; plus I sweat a lot well I don’t sweat a lot like in my face but my deodorant doesn’t help me a lot, my hands are considered “clammy” and even though i take a bath i tend to give off an order when i open my legs, it is horrible, it makes me feel so self-conscious , and like only recently like a year ago i thought i had a yeast infection (i don’t know what really one is) because i would feel an itchy sensation and sometimes i do and it just doesn’t feel good or normal (when I finally get diagnosed or something I want to rid my self of this), but I think it’s impossible that i have a yeast infection because I don’t have sexual relations and i don’t think I have warts? All I can think of is maybe having a urinary track infection. lets see i mentions, extreme weight loss, hunger, urinary track infection, abdominal pains, lower back pains, and diarrhea, oh I have blurred vision, well my vision is really bad and has gotten so in the last few years i thought it was a result of wearing other people’s glasses and sometimes my grandma’s when i was younger for fun, but i highly doubt it, i can’t see the board in class, and sometimes when i read i can’t see the words either plus i failed the eye test this year and i am going to go to the eye doctor soon when I can, in fact in the 6th or 7th grade when i failed the test then, the eye doctor told us to come back when i started to get migraines, what she didn’t know was that i was already suffering form major headaches they were really bad in the eight grade i don’t get them a lot this year and i don’t think i had them bad last year, but when i do get them they are bad and i can’t sleep or do anything, which leads me to the fact i am always drowsy and tired i thought it was pure laziness but it’s gotten to the point where i know I fall into a deep sleep I get exhausted really easily and my mom is always complaining but I get frustrated and sometimes randomly depressed because she doesn’t listen to me I cry and tell her there is something wrong with me but she does nothing she thinks vitamin C will cure me, i haven’t told her that i am sure it is diabetes because i don’t have the courage, in fact it was only a couple months ago in the beginning of the year that I had told her that i thought there was something wrong with me and she refused to listen, she blocks me out and i think it’s because we don’t have money to go to the doctor, but to tell you the truth I am afraid that it might too late when i get diagnosed or something, I already feel I have kidney failure, and sometimes this is rare but it does ha

one of my relative is going to have kidney transplant next week.I’m worried and I don’t know anyone who has done this surgery.If u or someone u know had a kidney transplant,please share the details with me.I do want to know what are the post op effects or when the person can return to his routine life,and how much this surgery might effect the parson’s life style?how much is the succession rate for a person who is diabetic and has hypertension?and how functional the new kidney can be?

Has anyone ever developed diabetes from eating too much fruit?

I remembered myself a few years back living two weeks on a fruit, vegetable, nut, and water only diet. However, I ate mostly fruits, one cup of nuts per day and everything was in it’s natural uncooked form. During those two weeks, I lost five pounds and I felt much more energetic and lively as opposed to when I was eating my regular meals. It was much easier for my stool to pass, and it kept me full for a longer time also. When I resumed eating my regular meals which were cooked, my waistline managed to grow back, and my body also felt more tired and less lively just like before I started this natural food diet. I am interested in doing this again for a longer period of time, but now I am afraid that it may cause diabetes as I read somewhere that fruit can increase cholesterol, body fat and blood sugar which leads to type II diabetes. Does eating fruit without anything else other than these natural foods make a difference?

In what order do Type 1 diabetes symptoms usually occur?

Over the past week, I’ve experienced increased fatigue, followed by massively increased thirst (this is from like, drinking maybe 30 oz. of water a day to 130 oz.). I’ve been told that if you experience any of the symptoms of diabetes, especially excessive thirst, you should go to the doctor, but I’m hesitant to go because of the fact that my weight is remaining constant.
So my question is this, is weight loss usually the first or last symptoms to appear in cases of Type 1 diabetes? And is weight loss always one of the symptoms?
I don’t want to risk letting it go too far before going to the doctor if I do have it, but I also don’t want to go when I don’t have it and look like a hypochondriac.
Any clue?
I took a reading on my grandfathr’s OneTouch meter 3 hours after I had eaten. It was 118.
From what I’ve read, that’s normal for an average weight 16 year old girl, correct?

Our income is around 800.a mth.My daughter can’t get a medical card because she is 21,not pregnant,no babies.We are facing on loosing our home.Have hard time coming up w/med’s that she needs or she will die.She can’t go to doctor or anything,lack of money.She is getting depressed really bad.It is scary.I could not amagine being in her shoes,what she is feeling.They say you can live w/diabicic.But how can she if we can’t get her medican or medical attention.She stays at home,walked away from friends.She has no life because of this diabitic?Is there a free grant that can help her?Any information and help will be greatly appreciated.Many Blessing to you!
