I typically hate drinking wat&#101&#114&#32but I find myself gulping down lots of water and n&#101&#118&#101r being satisfied. I also am going to the bathroom&#32&#97&#32lot. I though that I was urinating a lot bc I was &#103&#101&#116ting little bigger and it was causing pressure on&#32&#109&#121 bladder but have noticed as soon as I drink somet&#104&#105&#110g I have to rush to the bathroom to pee.

The last &#116&#104&#105ng<s></s> I have noticed is that I have an overproduction&#32&#111&#102 saliva. I hate to be gross but it is very thick a&#110&#100&#32foamy and I find myself having to spit a great dea&#108&#32&#110ow. I don’t know why it would be foamy as I keep myself hydrated&#32&#98&#99 of this extreme thirst I have<s></s>. Does any of this s&#111&#117&#110d like gestational diabetes. I dont think I am deh&#121&#100&#114ated as I have not been vomiting a great deal. In &#102&#97&#99t the doctor has me on 4mg of Zofran bc in the 1st&#32&#116&#114imester I had bad vomiting spells. Any advice woul&#100&#32&#98e helpful, thanks.

Could the lab be misreading or misinterpreting my &#114&#101&#115ults?

Preg #1, no GD – female baby, under 9 lbs (8 lbs 12 oz).
P&#114&#101&#103 #2, GD – male baby, under 8 lbs (7 lbs 6 oz).
Preg #3, no GD – female baby, u&#110&#100&#101<s></s>r 8 lbs (7 lbs 13 oz).
Preg #4, GD – male baby, currently at 24 &#119&#101&#101ks gestation.

Okay, so two girls, no GD; and two boys, posit&#105&#118&#101 for GD. The only things in common with them are &#49&#41&#32both are boys and 2) both were diagnosed in our cu&#114&#114&#101nt hometown in NC (the girls were both born in IL)&#46&#32&#32Is it possible that the lab down here is messing u&#112&#32&#119ith the readings on my GTT? Why would I test posi&#116&#105&#118e ONLY when preg with boys and ONLY in NC? Wouldn’t I have show&#110&#32&#115ome indication of GD with baby #3?

With baby #2,&#32&#73&#32was put immediately onto insulin; and the diet I was given w&#97&#115&#32more of a guideline to follow,<s></s> other than that the&#121&#32&#108eft me to my own devices with it. Now with this o&#110&#101&#44 #4,<s></s> they want to manage with diet; and OMG this diet is jus&#116&#32&#78UTS. Instead of a large breakf<s></s>ast and smaller din&#110&#101&#114, it is the exact opposite. Not to mention it see&#109&#115&#32like I’m eating CONSTANTLY throughout the day – and to prove that, in the span&#32&#111&#102 three days I have gained a whopping FOUR POUNDS. &#32&#84&#104at is SO not cool, or safe for that matter – I have a call in to&#32&#116&#104e nurse at the diabetes center about it, no call b&#97&#99&#107 yet.

I’m wondering, if I pay out of pocket, would I be able t&#111&#32&#103o back up to Chicago and have them test me for GD,&#32&#106&#117st to compare the two test results (theirs and the&#32&#111&#110e here)? I feel worse after starting a program fo&#114&#32&#71D than I do before starting it – both with baby #2 and this one.&#32&#32
&#10
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!
W&#101&#108&#108 we’re talking actual blood tests, not finger stick tests. The &#71&#84&#84 is when a pregnant woman has to drink glucola sol&#117&#116&#105on then have her blood drawn an hour later. I’m just curious as&#32&#116&#111 why I can test so differently in tw<s></s>o different st&#97&#116&#101s, with two different genders of child. It doesn’t seem right.
&#73&#32&#102orgot to add, I am on a ridiculously restricted di&#101&#116&#44 which is way off balance from how I’m used to eating (small bre&#97&#107&#102ast, big dinner, which is opposite what I usually &#100&#111&#32since breakfast IS the most important meal of the &#100&#97&#121). They prefer to avoid insulin if possible – and no, it is not&#32&#49&#480% necessary with GD, since GD is more similar to &#84&#121&#112e II diabetes than Type I (and Type II can be mana&#103&#101&#100 without insulin).

I didn’t start noticing a change until I was&#32&#105&#110 the 7th grade and then I realized I think I had s&#116&#97&#114ted showing the signs of diabetes when I was in th&#101&#32&#53th grade. And this year, now that I am in 10th gra&#100&#101&#32I started researching and going to different websi&#116&#101&#115 and forums to see if my symptoms compared and the&#121&#32&#100id. I have constant urination but at first a coupl&#101&#32&#121ears ago I had diarrhea everyday and like every co&#117&#112&#108e hours it was a pain and I thought there was real&#108&#121&#32something wrong with me, I also had dark yellow pe&#101&#46&#32In the fifth grade I had slightly noticed I would &#108&#111&#111se weight and I thought this was so because of pub&#101&#114&#116y or something ( I was never fat as i child but i &#119&#97&#115n’t the thinnest girl around either); but then later throughout middle sch&#111&#111&#108 I literally lost weight EVERYDAY and i still do, &#105&#32&#99an buy tight pants for school, and they will be th&#101&#32&#116ightest pants on me, where my rolls stick out and &#101&#118&#101rythi<s></s>ng, but I know a few weeks later or maybe mon&#116&#104&#115 and even in a year they will fit me perfectly bec&#97&#117&#115e I loose weight everyday! Sometimes I like this b&#117&#116&#32other times I don’t, I have lost the little muscle I had, but my&#32&#97&#114ms get skinnier and skinnier ( I am practically in&#32&#109&#121 book considered thin and I don’t think I have ever viewed my se&#108&#102&#32as this), which I like (how do I know I lose weigh&#116&#32&#97side from putting on tight jeans? Well even my boo&#98&#115&#32get smaller which is all right for me considering &#116&#104&#101y are kind of big or medium sized, and the space b&#101&#116&#119een my thighs is practically existent) But this al&#115&#111&#32sucks because i am constantly hungry even when i e&#97&#116&#32a lot, even if i eat out and finish my meals, i am&#32&#102&#117ll at first but then my stomach turns hollow and i&#116&#32&#98asically all comes out through my basement; I urinate a lot &#109&#121&#32most of it is water and not pee, it is because i d&#114&#105&#110k a lot of water, but I drink a lot of water when &#105&#32&#100on’t like my food and just constantly drink water, but when i go&#32&#111&#117t to eat the waitress has to come by like four tim&#101&#115&#32or more to refill my water; i poop everyday which I don’t think is normal,&#32&#97&#110d i have abdominal pains once in a while and they &#104&#117&#114t like hell <s></s>i feel like punching my stomach or ova&#114&#105&#101s whatever is causing me this pain the only way i &#99&#97&#110 describe it, is chronic; I also get lower back pain and the&#121&#32&#104urt bad like i guess where my kidneys are, they hu&#114&#116&#32like hell; plus I sweat a lot well I don’t sweat a lot like in my face but&#32&#109&#121 deodorant doesn’t help me a lot, my hands are considered “clammy” and even though i take a &#98&#97&#116h i tend to gi<s></s>ve off an order when i open my legs,&#32&#105&#116 is horrible, it makes me feel so self-conscious &#44&#32&#97nd like only recently like a year ago i thought i &#104&#97&#100 a yeast infection (i don’t know what really one is) because i w&#111&#117&#108d feel an itchy sensation and sometimes i do and i&#116&#32&#106ust doesn’t feel good or normal (when I finally get diagnosed or&#32&#115&#111mething I want t<s></s>o rid my self of this), but I thin&#107&#32&#105t’s impossible that i have a yeast infection because I don’t have sexual relat&#105&#111&#110s and i don’t think I have warts? All I can think of is maybe ha&#118&#105&#110g a urinary track<s></s> infection. lets see i mentions, &#101&#120&#116reme weight loss, hunger, urinary track infection,&#32&#97&#98dominal pains, lower back pains, and diarrhea, oh &#73&#32&#104ave blurred vision, well my vision is really bad a&#110&#100&#32has gotten so in the last few years i thought it w&#97&#115&#32a result of wearing other people’s glasses and sometimes my gran&#100&#109&#97’s when i was younger for fun, but i highly doubt it, i can’t see the board in&#32&#99&#108ass, and sometimes when i read i can’t see the words either plus&#32&#105&#32failed the eye test this year and i am going to go&#32&#116&#111 the eye doctor soon when I can, in fact in the 6t&#104&#32&#111r 7th grade when i failed the test then, the eye d&#111&#99&#116or told us to come back when i started to get migr&#97&#105&#110es, what she didn’t know was that i was already suffering form m&#97&#106&#111r headaches they were really bad in the eight grad&#101&#32&#105 don’t get them a lot this year and i don’t think i had them bad last year, bu&#116&#32&#119hen i do get them they are bad and i can’t sleep or do anything,&#32&#119&#104ich leads me to the fact i am always drowsy and ti&#114&#101&#100 i thought it was pure laziness but it’s gotten to the point whe&#114&#101&#32i know I fall into a de<s></s>ep sleep I get exhausted re&#97&#108&#108y easily and my mom is always complaining but I ge&#116&#32&#102rustrated and sometimes randomly depressed because&#32&#115&#104e doesn’t listen to me I cry and tell her there is something wro&#110&#103&#32with me but she does nothing she thinks vitamin C &#119&#105&#108l cure me, i haven’t told her that i am sure it is diabetes beca&#117&#115&#101 i don’t have the courage, in fact it was only a couple months a&#103&#111&#32in the beginning of the year that I had told her t&#104&#97&#116 i thought there was something wrong with me and s&#104&#101&#32refused to listen, she blocks me out and i think i&#116’s because we&#32&#100&#111n’t have money to go to the doctor, but to tell you the truth I &#97&#109&#32afraid that it might too late when i get diagnosed&#32&#111&#114 something, I already feel I have kidney failure, &#97&#110&#100 sometimes this is rare but it does ha

During those t&#119&#111&#32weeks, I lost five pounds and I felt much more ene&#114&#103&#101tic and lively as opposed to when I was eating my &#114&#101&#103ular meals. It was much easier for my stool to pa&#115&#115&#44 and it kept me full for a longer time also. When&#32&#73&#32resumed eating my regular meals which were cooked,&#32&#109&#121 waistline managed to grow back, and my body also &#102&#101&#108t more tired and less lively just like before I st&#97&#114&#116ed this natural food diet. I am interested in doi&#110&#103&#32this again for a longer period of time, but now I &#97&#109&#32afraid that it may cause diabetes as I read somewh&#101&#114&#101 that fruit can increase cholesterol, body fat and&#32&#98&#108ood sugar which leads to type II diabetes. Does e&#97&#116&#105ng fruit without anything else other than these na&#116&#117&#114al foods make a difference?

I’ve been told that&#32&#105&#102 you experience any of the symptoms of diabetes, e&#115&#112&#101cially excessive thirst, you should go to the doct&#111&#114&#44 but I’m hesitant to go because of the fact that my weight is re&#109&#97&#105ning constant.
So my question is this, is weight l&#111&#115&#115 usually the first or last symptoms to appear in c&#97&#115&#101s of Type 1 diabetes? And is weight loss always on&#101&#32&#111f the symptoms?
I don’t want to risk letting it go too far befor&#101&#32&#103oing to the doctor if I do have it, but I also don’t want to go &#119&#104&#101n I don’t have it and look like a hypochondriac.
Any clue?
I too&#107&#32&#97 reading on my grandfathr’s OneTouch meter 3 hours after I had e&#97&#116&#101n. It was 118.
From what I’ve read, that’s normal for an average weight 16 yea&#114&#32&#111ld girl, correct?
